thug lovin’ but not really

So I walked into a skateboard shop during my lunch break the other day and came out looking like one myself. I got me this super hot RED SOX baseball cap LET’S GO RED SOX!!! and a pair of iridescent sunglasses which I’ll probably use and reuse throughout the summer.

I’m a week away from taking a short vaca down in Sicily with my sister and bro-in-law. Can’t wait! I’ll be posting pics so you can be gelz!!

let’s fly away

I’m not going to deny I’m beginning to miss summer right about now. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE winter, snow, cold, crispy weather, foggy nights and the smell of burning firewood...sooooo much. But I’m pale white! Good God I need some color on my face. Orgasm, come to mama! (Orgasm is the name of my NARS blush, what did you think?).

So if winter is getting you down, fantasize about warmer climes while looking at these sun-baked images from this remote location down in the island of Sicily.

How’s that for eye candy?

This is the hotel I stayed at this summer during my visit to the Egadi Island of Favignana in SicilyCas’almare. So keep this post handy for when you’re planning your next dreamful summer vaca or to simply treat your eyes.

It’s a boutique bed&breakfast, as I like to call it, which to me is by far the best hotel concept I’ve ever come across and it’s exactly what I look for when I travel.

Affordable luxury with modern design. It’s got everything from character to personality to uniqueness, attention to detail, personalized service, comfort, freedom, privacy, peace and quiet.

The complete opposite of those opulent, mega luxurious hotels where you’re simply just a number (Room 309) and the worst part is the housekeeping. Man are those people noisy. Not only do they knock on your door 20 times a day, despite the HUGE do not disturb thingy, but they don’t care if you’re on your honeymoon or just chillaxing in bed with your significant other, they just bang, bang, boom away until they’re done with the cleaning of the room next door to yours.

Back to Cas’almare- this place has stunningly beautiful interiors inspired by the warmth of the mediterranean, with unique designer pieces scattered from the bedrooms to the breakfast room, and enough privacy to do as you please when you please. Each room has a breathtaking view of the sea, the most vivid hues of blue, green and turquoise, and a gorgeous backdrop of the island of Levanzo.

Sicilian Spice

Destination: Aeolian Islands, Sicily (aka Lipari Islands)

Hotel: Capofaro Malvasia & Resort (Salina)

Crowd: fashionistas, Brit couples, well-off young, stylish Italian couples

Salina Lighthouse

Capofaro is a 5-star boutique hotel located in the Aeolian Island of Salina. It’s home to 13 guest rooms and 5 suites in the form of whitewashed bungalows that spread all across the vineyard-covered terrain.

The main attraction of the resort is a white-decked pool area with comfy chaise longue perfect for spending long, paradisiac afternoons in the sun accompanied by a freshly squeezed Tarocco orange juice.

Another aspect that makes this place so special is that it is owned by one of Italy’s top wine producers known for the sweet Malvasia wine, called Tasca d’Almerita, available at their Gift Shop.

In short, this place is a MUST! Enjot the pics!
