kiss

Do you remember the lonesome ‘torso‘ that was wandering the pages of this blog a few days back? This above is the full version. I’m glad the guys over at Cosmo decided to put a face to a torso.

Anyways, I know it’s in Italian but they’ve basically put us into two categories: Basic vs. Exaggerated, you might have already guessed where this is going. Moral of the story is- you don’t have to make a fool out of yourself in order to get noticed. In other words, keep it simple stupid (aka kiss).

Yes, the famous kiss theory applies to anything and everything. Did anyone ever tell you that in college? Oh man, I would get it all the time. I guess it’s finally paying back after all these years .

Do not try to tackle every single fad, trend or trick all in one look…unless… you want to end up looking like a poor version of Pocahontas, like the missies here at the lower right corner, which is totally fine, but just know that the only reason you’re a show stopper that day is because you look like a total…..clown.

It’s like going into Starbucks and ordering a cinnamon dolce, java chip, pumpkin spice, peppermint mocha, caramel frappuccino. No can do! It may sound veeerrry appetizing, but don’t even try it.

VOGUE Japan

Written by manu on . Posted in fashion & style

Et voilà! I’ve been featured in Vogue Japan! yay!

It was so exciting to find this snapshot taken by one of Vogue’s cool hunters while strolling down Milan’s quadrilatero della moda.

I know it wasn’t Scott Schuman who captured this image of me, but it’s still quite cool, wouldn’t you say? :)

So, what am I wearing…the jeans are BLANK Denim, I absolutely adore these jeans. I discovered them on my last trip to Miami this summer. You won’t believe how cheap they are. These studded jeans were less than $100!

Booties are Janet&Janet, I have to say they are SO comfy! My fur was also a great discovery, another Miami buy from the Frida Khalo shop at the Mary Brickell Village, one of the few Frida-themed/ Latin inspired stores existent today- if you’re looking for something different, check them out!
