Sequin me up!

Who doesn’t love sequin? Any sequined garment just has G-L-A-M written all over.

I admit that sometimes it might get a bit tough if you’re trying to put together an all-over sequin outfit that’s still sexy and stylish, without going too overboard.

So in preparation for the holiday season, I’ve created these four sets to give you an idea.

While the first two are more party/going out outfits, the bottom two can basically be worn all day long for a more hang-out-with-friends/casual look.

(ps- I absolutely love the combination denim+sequin…effortless chic!)

Conquering the H&M-ayhem

Written by manu on . Posted in fashion & style

Ok, so some of you may hate me for what I’m going to say. I was there, I had no bracelet, I didn’t camp out since 4am, nor did I queue…I just kinda, very discretely, worked my charm :) .

Fact of the matter is, I’ve never camped out to go shopping nor would I ever. Plus, I had to be in class at 9am till 6pm and I didn’t feel like going through all the hassle and fighting and pushing and snatching and insulting and degrading people (cause we all know that’s exactly what happens).

Funnily enough, I was able to try on a couple dresses, but honestly, I didn’t like how they fit me :( . I tried to convince myself they looked good and flattering, but the mirror was way more determined than I was.

So, what did i get? A necklace. Why? Simply because I don’t want to look like a walking H&M + Lanvin mannequin waving at  50 other H&M + Lanvin mannequins as I walk the streets in a city none other than Milan!

What I don’t mind flaunting, however, is my new All For Children canvas tote bag. I got the most satisfaction from what was my small but meaningful donation to this children’s organization whose objective is to get children out of work and into school.

Guys seriously, I’m sooooo happy with my new bag! I totally see myself carrying it with me just about anywhere. Love, love!

My shop on Google’s Boutiques.com

Written by manu on . Posted in the net

Amazing how restless (ambitious) Google can really be. Take a look at their newest creation.

Boutiques.com is Google’s new fashion site that aims to map out what your personal style is by offering you a selection of targeted clothing, shoes and accessories based on your preferences.

The first thing that sprung to mind was… Polyvore, where you can also create your own looks and shop them.

Yours truly has been playing with the site and of course I had to create my very own ESF shop on boutiques.com. Here it is, feel free to follow me!

Google’s idea is to make online  fashion shopping a lot easier and what great moment to unveil this fashion site just weeks before the holidays! So why not let Google be your personal fashion stylist!

So go play! It’s easy to set up an account (took me less then 20 minutes), it’s user friendly and you can customize it by answering a series of ‘like’ and ‘hate questions which help Google define your what your personal style is. Mine is Casual Chic :)

Oh, they’ve also launched the iPad App for the site!
